SEAL Mocked By SNL Gets Sweet Revenge {{VIDEO}}

Before the older than dirt, and really no longer funny NBC review show Saturday Night Live took a pot shot at him, Texas Republican Dan Crenshaw was not a known entity in American politics. Now, thanks to that little incident, Americans everywhere know who he is.

Crenshaw, who lost his right eye in a 2012 IED attack in Afghanistan, was mocked by Pete Davidson during the show’s “Weekend Update” segment Saturday, which led to a major backlash.

Yep, he’s the handsome man with the eye patch. And the people of the second congressional district in Texas have made the man their newest congressman.

Crenshaw, 34, went on to capture 53 percent of the vote in Texas’s 2nd congressional district compared to Democrat Todd Litton’s 44.4 percent, according to Politico.

A decisive victory like that is refreshing to see after an evening of super slim majorities gave the Democrats one of those in the House of Representatives.

It’s almost like there was no cheating in that race.

Crenshaw, for his part, expressed no animosity toward his tormentor at SNL but does have a message for his fellow veterans.

Now that he’s headed to Washington, D.C., Crenshaw said he would like to see more veterans serving in Congress.

“They started out serving their country, so there’s an element of trust there, an element that you can actually work together with and maybe find the things that we agree on and go forward with those,” Crenshaw said.

“I think the more veterans in Congress, the more likely it is we can do that and find issues we can work together on.”

The military, after all, is a great training ground for how to maneuver through the political baloney and somehow succeed. As Crenshaw said, these are people who have committed to serve. It would be beneficial to the nation for them to continue in that capacity.

  1. So how does this work ? Trump was accused of making fun of a disabled Report, the press goes apoplectic, SNL makes fun of this disabled Vet, and it’s funny and no one gives a shit.

  2. I would like to take this opportunity to THANK Saturday Night Live for their wholehearted, although not planned, endorsement of Dan Crenshaw to represent the Great State of Texas in the United States House of Representatives! Your endorsement was the main reason this seat went Republican! Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    P.S. Next time could you please endorse many more Republicans?! You seem to have a lot of political clout for some reason. probably because your audience is so full of MORONIC libturds!
