VIDEO: Student Stands His Ground In Confrontation With Teacher Over MAGA Hat!

Never let good manners get in the way of making a point. That seems to be the lesson learned in an unidentified classroom where a student wearing a Make America Great Again hat was dressed down by the teacher in front of everyone in his class.

The video starts with the student calling out the teacher for targeting him because of his political views.

“You’re admitting to discriminating against a certain group of people,” the student said.

Then, the teacher went on a long, incomprehensible rant about workplace “decorum.”

“I don’t get what that has to do with expressing my political views,” the student replied.

The teacher responded by accusing the student of using the hat to “provoke” others.

“Stop provoking people… People are provoked by the presence of your hat,” the teacher said.

That’s an absurd reason to ask someone to remove their hat. Students are too sensitive if they are “provoked” by a campaign slogan used by their own president.

Students are known as snowflakes for a reason. They are provoked by Charles Schultz putting the character Franklin of his Peanuts comic strip in a lawn chair on one side of a Thanksgiving table.

Really, these people are touchy.

Aside from a young man wearing a hat indoors which, strictly speaking, is a breach of manners that no one seems to care about anymore, the student makes a valid point: the teacher is discriminating against a group of people, those who support the Trump initiatives in government.

“You just need to be a bit cool, take your hat off, or get out,” the teacher pleaded…

“You’re putting me in a position where I’m either going to gather everyone up and go to another classroom, and you can remain here, like an a**hole, or you can take your hat off.”

The kid did not comply and one of his classmates caught it on video.

  1. Since when are students allowed to wear hats in school? When you walk in the door the hat comes off, period , end of report.

  2. The student was disrespectful, and disobedient. \
The teacher was disrespectful, and crude.
Suspend the student for violating the dress code, and the teacher for using abusive language in front of his students. If a student in my class acted as this one did, I would tell him firmly to leave the room, and report to the principal, and if he did not, I would pick up the phone and call the office for the school ‘resource officer’ to come take him there.
    Problem solved.
BUT, wouldn’t it make MUCH more sense for the student to simply remove the hat, and place it on his desk in front of him? Children!

  3. If there is a policy of not wearing head gear in a classroom, indeed the student should have removed his hat.If there is no policy, and he was being singled out while others wore head gear, I can see the student refusing. Or, if this student has a habit of trying to bring chaos into a classroom, he should have been sent, or have been taken to higher authority. If there is no head gear policy, the student is right. If there is, he is wrong.
