It was only a matter of time before one of President Donald Trump’s decisive foreign policy victories yielded more than just an angrily worded statement from the opposing regime. Having been on the receiving end of a Trumpian offensive, the mullahs of Iran have now placed a bounty on the president’s head of such a sum that one has to wonder where they got the cash.
OMG! Iran's regime just announced an $80 million bounty for anyone who brings the head of @realDonaldTrump for killing Soleimani.
PS: Iran's ppl however are overjoyed at Soleimani's death. As the #IranProtests have shown, they long for an end to the mullahs' tyranny #FreeIran2020 pic.twitter.com/uB3zOG5EKA

$80 million? Last week, supposedly, the U.S. sanctions had pampered Iran and this week they have $80 million to toss into the fire to get somebody to take out the president?
At one point, an unidentified eulogist called for a bounty to be placed on Trump’s head. “We are 80 million Iranians,” he said. “If each one of us puts aside one American dollar, we will have 80 million American dollars, and we will reward anyone who brings us [Trump]’s head with that amount.”
There is no indication that the proposal was endorsed by the regime, though some initial media reports claimed that was the case. The Iranian government has promised revenge for Soleimani’s killing, though no official has personally threatened the president.
So, this was not an official threat, but the Iranian mullahs would most likely not pass up President Trump’s mug delivered up on a silver platter as if he was St. John the Baptist.
Don’t think we don’t know this.
So far, only “comedian” George Lopez is on the record as taking this bounty seriously, and there’s a good chance he might well be getting a visit from the Secret Service soon.
In the meantime, President Trump is going about the business of the nation.
