Leftists Hold Impeach Trump Rally, Screaming Hordes Stay Home

It might be an indication of the national mood when it comes to impeaching President Donald Trump. It is the rally that leftist organizations hell-bent on impeaching him based on any old charge they can come up withheld in Washington this week. (Did anyone actually know this was happening?)

Unlike Trump rallies where people show up days in advance to camp out just to have the chance to attend one, yeah, this one was deserted.

A website called ImpeachmentAugust.org said there would be an impeachment rally on Monday at 11 a.m. on the House side of the Capitol.

No one showed up, Breitbart News reports.

Not. One. Person.

Maybe because it’s September and not August? Who knows.

The website says “Donald Trump has broken the law, abused presidential power, and stoked hatred in our country. … If the average person did this, they’d be in jail. It’s past time for Congress to do their jobs and begin a formal impeachment inquiry. But the reality is, unless their constituents show up this August during the congressional recess, they won’t act.”

So, who are the lunatics who actually are thinking that Americans are going to storm the castle just because a Pavlovian bell has been rung?

So the site — supported by a slew of liberal organizations, including MoveOn, Need to Impeach, Indivisible, Stand Up America, March of Truth, By the People, Common Cause, Free Speech for People, Democracy for America, Progressive Democrats of America, Credo, and Democrats.com — urged people to “Find a town hall or plan your own district office visit and ask your Representative: ‘Will you uphold your oath to support and defend the Constitution and support an impeachment inquiry into crimes committed by Donald Trump?’ “

Yep. The usual suspects. They aren’t giving up, even if there is quite literally no public support for their efforts.
