Those who are immersed in the mainstream media echo chamber can be excused for not quite seeing that President Donald Trump ordered an airstrike on very specific and surgically destroyed targets in Syria Friday night. The purpose, if one steps back and takes a good look at all of the evidence, may well have been to destroy the capability of Syria (or somebody if Syria is a puppet state) to produce chemical weapons. Research facilities and warehouses were destroyed AFTER they were cleared of human life.
That move alone is a deterrent to war, and given that President Trump has never been a fan of war, it may well have been the motive.
Rachel Maddow [insert jokes here] of MSNBC, however, is now on the record echoing the narrative the mainstream media is determined the American people believe:
It will affect those other countries’ view of this strike. It will affect their reaction to it. It will, therefore, affect the utility of this military strike if the president of the United States is believed to have issued the order to launch this strike tonight, even in part because people think he wanted to distract from a catastrophic domestic scandal that is blowing up at home at the same time. The perception that the president may have ordered these strikes in part because of scandal will affect the impact and the effectiveness of these military strikes. Unavoidably.
The media honestly think Trump is stooping to wagging the dog over a “scandal” that the media themselves invented?
What the dingbats who have inhaled entirely too many swamp gases over the years don’t get is that the American people, the deplorables, don’t really care about the puritan sex posturing, and tend not to believe porn stars. They also don’t get that no one really believes James Comey, especially not after he lied under oath. His book is already being lampooned by those who have read advanced copies. If these topics that the MSM reports on ad nauseum ALL DAY LONG are the “catastrophic domestic scandal” the likes of Maddow are warning us that the president is trying to avoid with military action…
Sorry, Rachel, this airstrike was good. And, really, our allies were in on it with us.
