A man faces charges of making threats against journalists at the Boston Globe, referring to them as the ’enemy of the people’ and was arrested on Thursday.
The threats emerged on the day the Boston Globe made a nation-wide effort to publish editorials in support of a free press and to criticize President Donald Trump’s treatment of the press, which he often calls them “fake news” and “enemy of the people.”
Heading towards court on Thursday, the 68-year-old suspect, Robert Chain was asked to issue his statement to reporters.
“Yeah, I would like to make one statement. American was saved when Donald J. Trump was elected president,” he said. “Had Hillary Clinton, the criminal Hillary Clinton, who by the way whose emails were just hacked by the Chinese now. United States got saved by having Donald J. Trump elected as president. Now take a hike, you bozos.”

Prosecutors stated that Chain called the Boston Globe 14 times from Aug 10 through Aug 22, each time making threatening remarks. Most particularly he called on Aug 16 when the Globe led their editorial effort. Chain made threats of shooting employees in the head.
After the Globe published their editorial against the president, Trump continued referring to the media the as“enemy of the people” in at least five separate tweets.
I just cannot state strongly enough how totally dishonest much of the Media is. Truth doesn’t matter to them, they only have their hatred & agenda. This includes fake books, which come out about me all the time, always anonymous sources, and are pure fiction. Enemy of the People!

Trump also lashed at the Boston Globe on Aug 16, maintaining that they were in “collusion” with other papers.
The Boston Globe, which was sold to the the Failing New York Times for 1.3 BILLION DOLLARS (plus 800 million dollars in losses & investment), or 2.1 BILLION DOLLARS, was then sold by the Times for 1 DOLLAR. Now the Globe is in COLLUSION with other papers on free press. PROVE IT!
