Sometimes it’s hard to understand what she is saying due to the plethora of issues surrounding Nancy Pelosi’s mouth, be it putting her foot in it, the number of stretching her skin is currently sustaining, the implants or bridgework that causes her to look like she’s sucking mixed nuts from between her teeth all the time, or maybe some medication she’s taking, but that particular orifice is getting the Speaker of the House of Representatives into a lot of trouble this week.
At the State of the Union Address, the excessive movement of her jaw was noted by anyone watching. And then the next day, the woman, who claims to be Catholic despite this stance, actually said that banning late-term abortions on full-term babies would be “sad.”
“It’s really quite a sad thing when you know that we’ll be talking about something that applies to the health and life — health and ability to have other children of women,” said Pelosi. “I hope that in his family, he never has to face that crisis and apply his attitude toward it.”
Since practicing physicians assure anyone and everyone that there is never a medical reason for a late-term abortion, there is a darn good chance President Trump will never have to “apply his attitude” to any such situation. He raised his children to be respectful of life and they have given him nine precious and cherished grandchildren in return.
And then there’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “New Green Deal” that is the socialist utopia for environmentalism. Rather than call it a non-starter, Pelosi went on the defensive and was dismissive rather than firmly saying no, and taking control of the freshmen Democrats who think they really have some sort of power despite the Senate and the Executive Branch.
In an interview with Politico, Pelosi said that while she is moving forward with plans to create a climate change panel, a suggestion to use it to write legislation for the “Green New Deal” is not in the cards. “It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive,” Pelosi told Politico. “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it, right?”
They might be for it, but reading the tea leaves, any consideration of the idea is DOA. It would be nice if Pelosi would be as clear on that as she is blocking border wall funding.
