According to AP, Officials with North Carolina’s ferry system have been forced to suspend a ferry boat captain and one of his crew members due to openly endorsing Donald Trump on the state-owned vessel. Just below the American flag and next to the flag of North Carolina, they hoisted a flag supporting President Donald Trump’s re-election on a state-owned ship.
A passenger on the MV Frisco ferry took a picture of the flag”Trump 2020” flag flying below the U.S. flag and posted it to social media, which the North Carolina Ferry Division considered as a unacceptable personal conduct and immediately took action.
According to AP, Ferry Division spokesman Tim Hass explained to media outlets that putting campaign material on a state-owned vessel is considered as highly inappropriate.

“No matter the political viewpoint, any sort of campaign material on a state ferry is in violation of policy,” Hass told the press.
Hass did not reveal the identities of the two employees who were suspended and added that the flag was only up for a single run.
