There was a lot of drama happening in Minneapolis, Minnesota, ahead of Thursday night’s Donald Trump Campaign rally in that city. First, the mayor there decided that the police would not provide security, a directive which the police defied, and then he had all of the portable toilets removed so that people standing in line to get into the Target Center, where the rally was held, would be miserable.
Then the petty mayor turned up the heat in the skywalks where Minnesotans were standing in line.
Nice guy. NOT!
Once all of that was over, and 20,000 people were inside the arena, with more outside of it, and a few warm-up speeches set the tone for the evening, President Donald Trump took to the podium to do what he does best: give the American people a pep rally that is badly needed after the various news media outlets have hammered away at his efforts for weeks on end.
In Minneapolis, Trump delivered a rally for the ages. It was longer than most of his usual offerings and included one verbal gem that made headlines all on its own
Trump’s retooled remarks in a state he lost narrowly to Hillary Clinton in 2016 came as he is facing a widening impeachment inquiry into whether he pressured Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to dig up dirt on Biden by withholding foreign aid. Trump, who has denied doing so, has sought to shift attention to Biden and his son, Hunter.
“He was never considered a good senator,” Trump said of Biden. “He was only a good vice president because he understood how to kiss Barack Obama’s ass.”
Seriously. President Trump actually said that.
Minneapolis, of course, is just the beginning in President Donald Trump’s campaign rally tour to recapture the White House in 2020, and in the process attempt to take more states than in 2016. Friday’s rally will be in Lake Charles, Louisiana which is bound to be a-rockin’ good time.
