What is it about the current crop of Democrats that gives off the impression that they are headed for a Mission Impossible fate. The whole lot of newsmakers in the group are making one mistake after another, all pretty much-unforced errors, in their quest to persuade American voters to take a fresh look at the group.
First, we have the freshmen, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib – all “women of color” – saying outrageous things, and rehashing old ideas packaged as new. Of late, though, the two not from New York and who follow Islam have gone over the top.
They put us in photos when they want to show our party is diverse. However, when we ask to be at the table, or speak up about issues that impact who we are, what we fight for & why we ran in the first place, we are ignored. To truly honor our diversity is to never silence us. https://t.co/7T1OlwS1YG

SHH! Ms. Tlaib, you are not supposed to notice that. It’s a blow to the public relations people in the Democrat machine.
And then there was Omar taking a swipe at the damage done on September 11, 2001, exception taken to her words by a fellow Congressional freshman, Dan Crenshaw, who happened to lose an eye in the ensuing war, and then other Democrat Freshmen backed…OMAR?
This week was a new low in partisanship & dishonesty.
I watched in disbelief as some covered for Omar by coming after me with lies & absurd claims that I don’t support 9/11 victims.
What a disgusting, dishonest tactic.
Why turn this into a political football?

Talia Lavin, already making a name for herself asking why anyone should treat September 11 as “sacred,” responded by calling Crenshaw “captain shithead.”
If winning the hearts and minds of Americans is the goal of the Democrats, this is not how to do it, that is for sure.
As for the leadership of the Democrat party, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi brushed off concerns over the weekend during an interview with CBS’s Leslie Stahl.
According to Pelosi, the left flank of the Democratic Party, led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), is only “like five people.”
Earlier in the year, denials of party fracture came from another Democrat leader, Steny Hoyer.
In March, in a speech at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in Washington, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., pointedly noted that the new Congress had 62 freshmen Democrats.
“You hear me?” Hoyer said. “Sixty-two. Not three.”
That might be the case, but optics are important and at the moment, the optics appear to be that the leadership cannot control the freshmen, and they are working toward causing a schism in the party between the far left socialists and the blue dogs who just cannot go along with the lunatics.
If that is the case, that the Democrats cannot hold the center of the American political landscape, then the party will self destruct – and it will have done so with little to no help from their opposition.
