Over the weekend, the mainstream media came up with a new narrative to use to pummel the Trump Administration. The realities at the southern border which has been an ongoing saga for decades, but that conveniently gets left out of stories regarding overcrowding and children being separated from their parents.
Also left out of the narrative this time around are the stories of American children separated from their parents due to the actions of illegal aliens. One such separation happened recently in Michigan.
According to the Detroit News, 21-year-old Miguel A. Ibarra Cerda was arraigned Thursday in the hit-and-run death of 14-year-old Justin Lee in Wixom, Michigan.
“Police said Justin, a freshman at Walled Lake Western High School, was riding a friend’s bike on Potter Road near Flamingo Street on Monday night when witnesses said he was struck by a blue Honda Odyssey minivan that immediately sped away,” the newspaper reported.
“The minivan had been driven in excess of speed limits and was on the wrong side of the road when the crash occurred, knocking Lee into a ditch … The teen later was pronounced dead at an area hospital.”
Even to Americans who are not all that well versed in what is legal and not, but who have read driver’s manuals in any one of the fifty states can count the crimes listed in these three paragraphs. Hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, speeding, driving the wrong way, vehicular homicide just to name a few. BUT, because the man arraigned is an illegal alien, the mainstream media is mum about it.
There is a blatant double standard when reporting centers on a decade’s long problem that was put in place by the three previous administrations and is blamed on the current administration regarding illegal aliens, and yet the crimes committed by other illegal aliens are not covered at all. So, it is up to the alternative media to tell the story.
Cerda, a Mexican national who worked at a local Burrito King restaurant, was charged with reckless driving causing death and leaving the scene of an accident, which could result in 15 years behind bars. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. Bail was set at $350,000.
Breitbart reported that Cerda was in the country illegally and had been trying to flee back to Mexico at the time of his arrest.
