Although President Donald Trump was disinvited to attend Senator John McCain’s funeral, the president showed consideration and respect to the request from the grieving McCain family. They asked to use Air Force 2 to transport McCain’s body to D.C.
The president did the most moral and acceptable thing and gave permission to the McCain family to use Air Force 2 to transport McCain’s body to D.C. Isn’t it ironic? Senator John McCain’s body was transported to Washington D.C. on an aircraft that President Trump had to give approval to.
Air Force 2 is often authorized for the Vice President or First Lady’s travel.
As TMZ reports, President Trump made an announcement earlier this week that he had approved military transport for McCain, saying, “At the request of the McCain family, I have also authorized military transportation of Senator McCain’s remains from Arizona to Washington, D.C., military pallbearers and band support, and a horse and caisson transport during the service at the United States Naval Academy.”
So if you thought that the McCain family would change the rhetoric against President Trump despite his gesture of goodwill….well you are wrong. It was disgusting that Meghan McCain delivered a bitter, angry and sad eulogy that trashed President Trump.
We would like to know how they’ll feel after a few days and they’ve had time to reflect. We sincerely doubt they will be thankful for the gesture. That’s the way D.C. elitists roll…
IN CASE YOU MISSED THE EULOGY FROM MEGHAN MCCAIN:
BITTERNESS IS A HORRIBLE THING TO PASS ON…
It’s so sad seeing how Meghan McCain used what could have been a beautiful moment to celebrate her father to express sharp disapproval and criticism against President Trump, that the only thing that would one think when watching this sad eulogy of Senator John McCain by his daughter is the old, well-known saying “Like father, like daughter.“
McCain said she asked her father what she should say at his eulogy and he responded with, “Show them how tough you are.” That advice is not what this occasion was the time and place for…but this is John McCain’s final stand beyond the grave and he knew his brash daughter would pull through for him….Like father, like daughter…

One thing is for sure, when it comes to ceremonies, especially funerals, time and place is what matters. The National Cathedral was packed with Trump cabinet members and with the president’s daughter. We wonder was it the right time and place to have an uncontrolled outburst of anger and frustration at the church where your father’s funeral is being held?
"We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness. The real thing — not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly…"
