Trump Tweet Storm Takes On Whistleblower

The true identity of the “whistleblower” cited by House Democrats in their incessant quest to impeach President Donald Trump for some crime or another, appears to be known to the target of the inquisition.

And on Wednesday, President Trump himself told the world what he knows about…him or her. The person’s gender keeps changing.

“The Whistleblower’s facts have been so incorrect about my ‘no pressure’ conversation with the Ukrainian President, and now the conflict of interest and involvement with a Democrat Candidate, that he or she should be exposed and questioned properly,” Trump wrote. “This is no Whistleblower.”

And then the president brought in mention of one person who really hasn’t gotten all that much attention in the entire fiasco: the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG).

“The Whistleblower has ties to one of my DEMOCRAT OPPONENTS,” he wrote. “Why does the ICIG allow this scam to continue?”

Why indeed.

Questions about the identity of the whistleblower – now reportedly three people are in this category – regarding something said during a phone call between President Trump and the president of Ukraine has been the subject of quite a bit of speculation online and elsewhere since the supposed existence of such an individual was revealed by House Democrats who are busy holding show hearings and issuing subpoenas for an investigation that is uncovering nothing.

That raised the hackles of the White House where loins are being girded for an all-out battle with the Swamp Creatures of Capitol Hill.

The White House issued a sharp rebuke to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a letter outlining the “legal and constitutional flaws” in the Democrat’s impeachment inquiry.

“President Trump and his administration reject your baseless, unconstitutional efforts to overturn the democratic process,” the eight-page letter read.

To quote North American hockey fans everywhere: GAME ON.

It looks like the confrontation we’ve all been waiting for is about to happen.
